Writhe:
gunfire, fire,
rash pooling over skin.
Writhe: feel the dirt
in its sodden sensuality,
all touch is pleasure.
Squirm:
blood oozing from a wound,
bloody meat, a rooster
in the hands of a quiet wife.
Squirm: create a path
where there wasn’t one,
dance forever.
Rot:
darken, sunlight
rendered useless, fini.
Rot: soft wrinkled apple,
the center of a new world.
